© Wilson-Little Funeral Home Purcell, Oklahoma July 2017 Wilma Tippit McGee July 4, 1933 ~ July 14, 2017 Longtime Purcell resident, Wilma Tippit McGee, age 84 of Tyler, TX, died Friday, July 14, 2017, in Tyler. Wilma Jean Potts was born July 4, 1933 in Pernell, OK to Ernest Charles Potts and Goldie Melinda [Orr] Potts. Wilma married Kenneth Tippit. They made their home in Tyler, TX, where together they raised two children, son Larry and daughter, Vicki. Wilma worked for Dick Doyle at the Pancake House and Dick Doyle's Restaurant in Tyler, both as cashier and manager, and later Skillon's Drug Store. After Kenneth's passing, she moved back to Oklahoma, and later married Richard Duane McGee and they made their home in Purcell. Wilma worked at T.G.&Y. and later McCoys for a time. She then began working in the Hotel/Motel Business, a career that spanned more than 20 years. She retired at the age of 72, after successfully managing several area Motels. Wilma was a wonderful wife and mother, a loving grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a woman of great faith and a longtime member of the Wayne Church of Christ. She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her daughter, Vicki Vickers; Her husbands, Kenneth Tippit and Richard McGee and Her parents, Ernest and Goldie Potts; 3 sisters and 1 brother. Wilma leaves behind: Her son, Larry Tippit and wife Linda of Tyler, TX; Son-in-law, Steve Vickers of Dallas; Sister, Jo Wiggins of Nixa, MO; Brother, Kenneth Potts and wife Linda of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren, Bryan, Kristi, Nicole and Cailyn; 6 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday July 19, 2017, at the Paoli Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
