May 1, 2004 June 8, 1960 ~ May 1, 2004 PAULS VALLEY - Graveside services for Richard Taylor "Rick" Kirkes Jr, 43, Pauls Valley, are today at Paoli Cemetery, the Rev. Bob Kanary officiating. Mr. Kirkes died May 1, 2004, at Pauls Valley. He was born June 8, 1960, to Richard Taylor and Pauline Coffee Kirkes. He grew up in Wilburton and graduated from Wilburton High School. He and Lisa Burrows were married May 16, 1980, at Fitzhugh. Mr. Kirkes was employed at Basic Energy, Lindsay. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Kirkes, of the home; three daughters, Ashley, Jessyka and Alyssa Kirkes; his parents, Richard and Pauline Kirkes, Wilburton; and a brother, Lewis Kirkes, Wilburton. August 10, 2006 September 18, 1990 ~ August 10, 2006 Jessyka Taylor Kirkes entered this life September 18, 1990 to Richard Taylor and Lisa Jane [Burrows] Kirkes in Lawton, Oklahoma. She entered into rest August 10, 2006 in Paoli, Oklahoma, at the age of 15 years, 10 months and 22 days. Jessyka lived in Pauls Valley for 11 years before moving to Paoli with her family. She was preparing to enter her sophomore year at Paoli High School. She enjoyed the outdoors and was very athletic, participating in skateboarding, soccer, basketball and rock climbing with friends. She also cherished her sisters and took pleasure in caring for younger children. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Pauls Valley. She is survived by her mother, Lisa Jane Kirkes; stepfather, Roger Smith; two sisters: Ashley Nichole Kirkes of Pauls Valley, Okla., and Alyssa Lucille Kirkes of Paoli, Okla.; grandparents: Richard and Pauline Kirkes of Wilburton, Okla., Ron and Helen Crawford of Roff, Okla., and Edwin Burrows of Ada, Okla.; great-grandparents, Bob and Jewel Mayberry of Ada, Okla.; three uncles: Jay and Steve Burrows of Roff, Okla., and Lewis Kirkes of Wilburton, Okla.; and one aunt, Edwina Burrows of Ada, Okla. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Taylor Kirkes; and great-grandparents: Orbra and Lucille Young, and Buck Burrows. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, Oklahoma, with Pastor Bob Kanary officiating. Interment at Paoli Cemetery is under the direction of Krien Funeral Home in Davis. |
