© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma March 25, 2012 October 30, 1920 ~ March 25, 2012 Roy S. Jarrel, of Pauls Valley, was born October 30, 1920 in, to Blucher Jarrel and Mahalia. He passed away March 25, 2012 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. Roy was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army where he became involved in the Army Air Corp. He was married to Elizabeth Jarrel; she preceded him in death on May 19, 1971. Later he and Mary Blankenship were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on June 15, 1972. Roy lived many years in Baltimore, Maryland where he worked at his trade as an Electrician and later returned to make Pauls Valley his home. He loved building projects, and gardening with his wife, Mary; he also loved dancing. After becoming where he could not be as active he liked watching T. V. and doing cross-word puzzles. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Blucher and Mahalia Jarrel; two brothers, Fred O. Jarrel and Robert E. Jarrel; three sisters, Pauline Easley, Bessie Shelton and Evelyn Andros; two half-sisters, Mary Riley and Mae Corbitt; Two step sons; Thomas Brown and Joe Michael Lee; and one grandson, Michael Stewart Lee. Surviving family include his wife, Mary Jarrel of the home; one son, Mitchell Jarrel and his wife, Donna, of Norman; a daughter, Nancy Long and her husband, Jack, of Wilburton; 3 step-sons, Bill Lee and his wife, Virginia, of Wynnewood; Bryan Keith Lee, of Mustang; and Tony Lee of Tuttle; four grandchildren, Cami Jarrel and Doug Jarrel, Michael Long and his wife Lori, and Angie Musgrave and her husband, Mike; four step grandchildren, Clint Lee and his wife, Amy, Tammy Middleton and her husband, Dave, and Bryan Scott Lee and his wife, Andi, and Bruce Lee; 11 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Paoli Cemetery officiated by Rev. Terry Mott. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
