© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma April 11, 2009 Clara Nell [Varner] Gibson June 17, 1932 ~ April 11, 2009 Clara "Nell" Gibson, of Paoli, was born June 17, 1932 in Florala, Alabama to Jones and Rilla [Logan] Varner. She passed away April 11, 2009 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. Moving from Alabama she and her family settled in Garvin County and has made their home in the Paoli area since 1961. Nell worked at the Miniature Lamps Manufacturing Companies of Glo-Lite and Xenell in Wynnewood for 25 years and was a member of Paoli First Baptist Church. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Jones and Rilla Varner; 2 sons, Thomas Gibson and Odie Junior Gibson; 1 sister, Velma Moon; 2 brothers, Raymond Varner and Cecil Varner; as well as Odie Gibson, father of her children. Surviving family include her children, Farrel Gibson and his wife, Phyllis, of Wynnewood, Ok.; Jody Gibson and his wife, Aline, of Paoli, Ok.; Gerald Gibson and his wife, Cindy, of Cameron, Ok.; Tony Gibson and his wife, Robin, Peggy Tyler and her husband, Wesley, and Billy Gibson and his wife, Tamy, all of Paoli, Ok.; Paul Gibson and his wife, Rochelle, of Clanton, Alabama; Dale Gibson, of Enid, Ok.; and Michael Gibson and his friend, Lisa Kusevich, of Defuniak, Florida; 25 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 on the way; 2 brothers, Clarence Varner and Morris Varner, both of Alabama; 3 sisters, Jessie Mae McCord of Alabama; Myra Lee Daugherty of Florida; and Betty Joyce Culpepper of Tennessee. Her family will be Pallbearers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Paoli First Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Tim Duncan. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
