Jimmy Dwayne Eddlemon


Jimmy Dwayne Eddlemon died August 21, 2015 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years 1 month 19 days.

Gravesite services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Paoli Cemetery under the care of Wadley's Funeral Service.

Jimmy was born July 2, 1936 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Dewey and Una Lee [Yoakum] Eddlemon.

He was raised in Purcell before being inducted into the United States Air Force on December 31, 1954.

Jimmy married Barbara Chaffin in Purcell, Oklahoma on December 31, 1956.

He retired from the military after 20 years as a Master Sergeant in December 1975.

Jimmy worked in the Agricultural industry as a soil conservationist. He owned and operated the 6E Trading Post, a spur and saddle shop in Seminole, Oklahoma and enjoyed collecting and trading.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Una Eddlemon; wife, Barbara Sue Eddlemon; siblings, Dewey Lee Eddlemon, Mary Ann Parr, and W.T. Eddlemon.

Survivors include his children, Jimmy Eddlemon of Quinton, Oklahoma, Deanna Gilbert and husband, David of Carbondale, Illinois, Brian Eddlemon and wife, Kendra of Seminole, Oklahoma, Melissa Richmond and husband, Jim of Jacktown; sister, T.J. Harris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Kristin, Kelsey, Kara, Keith, Alexandra, Elaina, Colton, Caleb, Cassie and many other relatives and friends.
