Dixon of Paoli was born November 17, 1937, at Ft. Belknap Indian Reservation, Harlem, Montana, to Arthur Leon Morris and Evelyn Stiffarm Morris. She passed away September 3, 2008 at Paoli, Okla., at the age of 70 years. She was married to Roy S. Dixon; he preceded her in death in 2001. Patricia was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church. Patricia was an awesome seamstress. She sewed wedding dresses and prom dresses for her children and grandchildren. Patricia made quilts for all the family. She was very generous to her family. She baby sat her whole life for family and friends. She was a good ranch hand, trucker and had a tremendous green thumb. She was a wonderful cook and really loved canning the food she grew and making jelly as well as helping with school bake sales with pies and cakes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy S. Dixon; two grandchildren, Jerry Dale Ward in September 1998 and Angel Marie Dixon in March 1991; two brothers, Robert Morris and Arthur Morris; her son-in-law, Jerry Ward. Surviving family include her children, K. P. Dixon of Wynnewood, Jo Ann Ward, Lee Dixon and Judy Pickle, all of Paoli, and Andrew Dixon of the home; one brother, Charlie Morris of DuBoise, Wyo.; four sisters, Roberta Carney, Mary Ott and Laura Hadfield, all of Paoli, and Catherine Johnson of Woodland Park, Colo.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Deacon John Warren and Rev. Terry Erwin. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Notes of remembrance and/or condolences may be sent to the family at www.stufflebeanfuneralhome.com. |
