Jessie Imogene [Allgood] Dabbs
May 23, 1913 ~ February 27. 2012


Ms. Jessie I. Dabbs, of Strafford, Oklahoma, died February 27, 2012, in Strafford. She was the d/o the late Forrest and Minnie Rubie [Elliot] Allgood.

Ms. Dabbs worked for Pauls Valley State School as a Nurse's Aide and remained there till she retired.

She married Paul Dabbs on the 7th day of Jan. 1932. The family lived on a farm, west of Strafford till 1948. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Ms. Dabbs was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by 1 Son, Jim Dabbs & wife Brenda, Stratford, OK.; 2 daughters, Paula Walker & husband Bill, Yukon, OK.; Joyce McKnight & husband Gary, Yukon, OK.; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Gragg & husband Heath, Denton, TX; Jamie Dabbs & wife Megan, Dallas, TX.; Kenneth Walker & wife Tina, Slaughterville, OK.; Shelly Hudson & husband Nathan, Yukon, OK.; Sean McKnight, Yukon, OK.; Brock McKnight, Denton, TX; April Teague & husband Jason, Yukon, OK.; 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Heath Gragg, Jamie Dabbs, Kenneth Walker, Nathan Hudson, Brock McKnight, and Jason Teague.

Services were held on Wednesday afternoon, February 29, 2012, at the Church Of Christ, Stratford, Oklahoma. Bill Jones officiated the services.

She was laid to rest at Paoli Cemetery, Paoli, Oklahoma.
