He passed away September 26, 2008, near Coalgate at the age of 27 years. He and Courtney Rian Humphrey were married in Arapaho on Sept. 7, 2007. Blakely was a cryogenics specialist with Kahuna Ventures. He was raised in the Pauls Valley area and attended Paoli High School where he played his favorite sports: football and baseball. He graduated in 1999. Blakely had a deep passion for music and was a member of Assembly of God. Surviving family include: his wife, Courtney of the home; one stepson, Chase Kliewer of Clinton; his mother and stepfather, Darla and Dean Painter, one brother, Brett Butler, and one sister, Kyleigh Painter, all of Weatherford; a stepbrother, Clint Painter and his wife, Shaunda, of Okemah; his grandparents, Billy and Neva Bowles of Davis; mother-in-law and father- in-law, Phil and Jill Humphrey of Rocky; brothers-in-law, Cal, Cade and Aaron Humphrey, all of Rocky; sister-in-law, Jamae Jones of Burns Flats; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a host of friends. Funeral services were held Sept. 29, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church officiated by the Rev. Charles Tennison.
