Van Earl Brown
July 6, 1921 ~ May 22, 2005


Graveside services for Van Earl Brown, 83, of Paoli were held May 24, 2005 at Paoli Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Brown died May 22, 2005 at Lindsay Manor Nursing Home.

He was born July 6, 1921 in Memphis, Texas, the fourth of eight children of Homer and Jennie Cantrell Brown. He was reared and attended school in the Prairie Grove area.

Mr. Brown worked as an appliance repairman for many years, mainly repairing stoves.

He lived in Paoli for many years and for the past several years he had lived at the Lindsay Manor Nursing Home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian R. Brown; two sisters, Margie Russell and Mary Vogt and one brother, Milton Brown.

Survivors include one son, Mike Schrieder; one daughter, Vanessa; a brother, Bud Brown of Fort Worth, Texas and three sisters, Jean Whitley of Fort Worth, Texas, Katie Allen of Arlington, Texas, and Bonnie McKnight of Crowley, Texas.
