March 15, 2010 September 29, 1944 ~ March 15, 2010 Bobbie E. Adams, of Paoli was born September 29, 1944 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Maggie and Oscar Adams. He passed away March 15, 2010 in Norman Regional Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer at the age of 65 years. He joined the Marine Corp in September of 1961 and married Mary Alice Rowell on June 14, 1963. He was in the Marines for 10 years to include service in the Vietnam War and the Army National Guard for 8 years. After serving in the military, Bobbie worked as an electrician until retirement. After retiring, he served as a member of the Paoli City Council as well as the town Mayor. Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents Maggie & Oscar Adams along with various aunts and uncles. Bobbie is survived by his wife Alice, of the home in Paoli; three daughters, Michelle Terry & her husband, Jerry, of Newborn, Georgia; Stacey Sharp & her husband, Tommy, of Coleman, Ok.; and Leesa Hector & her husband, Larry, of Stratford; grandchildren, Lynnsee Noel & her husband, Andy, of Pauls Valley; Bryan Adams, currently stationed in Afghanistan; Cody and Cannon Sharp, of Coleman; and Nathan and Nicholas Hector, of Stratford; great granddaughters, Maryssa and Kylee Noel, of Pauls Valley; one brother, Larry Adams of Paoli; and one sister, Connie Norman of Paoli. Honorary Pall Bearers are Jerry Terry, Tommy Sharp, Larry Hector, Andy Noel and Josh Rowell. A visitation for family and friends has been scheduled from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday evening at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance in the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Zella Harden. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
