January 11, 1923 James Sherman Scribner January 10, 1904 ~ January 9, 1923 James Sherman Scribner, aged 19 years, died at Fort Bliss, near El Paso, Texas, Tuesday, following an operation for appendicitis on Dec. 30th. The body will be shipped to Davis for burial. The young man is a son of James Curtis & Hannah Scribner, owner of the Kennedy ranch, 5 miles southwest of Davis. He joined the cavalry division of the U. S. Army about three months ago. Until he entered the army he lived with his parents, and has a host of friends in this community who are saddened at learning of his death. |
