Jewel [Greenwood] Washington
November 5, 1925 ~ March 3, 2020


Jewel Washington, a lifetime resident of Wynnewood, OK, passed away surrounded by her loving family Tuesday March 3, 2020 at her home in Wynnewood. Jewel was born on November 5, 1925 to Laura [Smith] and Johnny Greenwood. Mrs. Washington married Floyd "O.C." Washington on January 7, 1941 in Wynnewood. She, along with her husband, raised nine children. In her life she had worked various places including in Nursing care at Wynnewood Care Center and later for the Pauls Valley State School [later Southern Oklahoma Resource Center] retiring there. At an early age she united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wynnewood and later in life united with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons - Robert Washington and Lawrence Washington, 3 daughters - Donna Gray, Debbie Washington, and Mary McNeil.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory - Son Frank Washington and wife Beverly, Daughter - Zeola Smith and husband Joe, Daughter - Sharon Thomas and husband Scott, Son - Richard Washington and wife Jan, Son in law - John McNeil, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family and friends.

Services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood. Services under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Wynnewood.

Donna Jo Washington
August 31, 1954 ~ September 19, 2008


Donna Jo Washington of Wynnewood, Oklahoma was born August 31, 1954 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to O.C. and Jewell [Greenwood] Washington and passed from this life on Friday, September 19, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years.

Donna grew up and attended school in Wynnewood. She also attended Draughn Business College.

Donna made her home in Oklahoma City before returning to Wynnewood where she has resided for the past 23 years.

For 30 years, Donna worked for the state of Oklahoma and was a secretary for the Southern Oklahoma Resource Center. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

In her spare time, Donna enjoyed shopping and scrap booking. She loved good food and loved playing jokes on others. The highlight of her life was her grandchildren. The most important things Donna taught others were to be truthful and honest.

Ms. Washington leaves to cherish her memory one son: Charles D. Gray of Sulphur, Oklahoma; one daughter: Tigé Louis and her husband Vincent of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; her mother: Jewell Washington; two brothers: Rev. Frank Washington and his wife Beverly of New Lima, Oklahoma, and Ricky Washington and his wife Jan of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; four sisters: Cookie Smith and her husband Joe of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Mary McNeil and her husband John of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Sharon Thomas and her husband Scott of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, and Debbie Washington of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren.

Ms. Washington was preceded in death by her father: Floyd "O.C." Washington; and two brothers: Robert Washington and Lawrence Washington.

Funeral services for Ms. Washington are scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Mount Carmel Baptist with Rev. Frank Earl Washington officiating.

Debbie Washington
April 9, 1962 ~ August 8, 2018


Debbie Washington was born April 9, 1962 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

She attended school in both Wynnewood and Oklahoma City; graduating from U. S. Grant High school class of 1980.

Debbie received Christ at an early age and continued to keep her Christian values throughout her life.

Especially in the last 15 years of her life as she diligently fought her battle with cancer. She succumbed to the disease August 8, 2018.

Surrounded in love, she went in peace, and is preceded in death by her father, 2 brothers, and sister. Debbie is the mother of Jokori and Jakara who remain to celebrate her victory. Also remaining to celebrate her victory is her mother, 2 brothers, sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Tigé Keilyn"KeKe" Washington
November 5, 1925 ~ March 3, 2020

Tigé Keilyn ‘Keke' Washington of Wynnewood was born March 4, 1973 in Oklahoma City and passed away April 14, 2014 at OU Medical Center at the age of 41.

Keke and her family returned to Wynnewood where she entered the fourth grade and completed high school in Wynnewood graduating in 1991. She loved cooking for everyone, this was her ministry. She was a very active member of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. She was active in C3 and Young and Seasoned ministries which she loved being a part of.

Keke considered her greatest achievement her two children. They were the joy of her life.

Her favorite saying was "stay in your lane."

Keke was preceded in death by her mother Donna J. Washington Gray.

She is survived by two children, daughter Mikalah B. Post and son Taj Lashay Washington both of Wynnewood; brother Charles Gray and his wife Robin of Sulphur; grandmothers Jewel Washington and Rosie High both of Wynnewood; special friends Teresa Wright and Dameika Rushing; as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery with services under the direction of DeArman's Funeral Home in Wynnewood.
