© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma April 4,, 2021 March 9, 1945 ~ April 4, 2021 Santiago "Jim" Garza of Wynnewood, OK passed away on Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 in Norman, Ok at the age of 76 years. Jim Garza was born on March 9, 1945 in Medina County, Texas to Juan S Garza and Gumesinda F. Garza. Jim proudly served his country in the VietNam War and was a 100% disabled vieteran. On June 7, 1979 Jim married the love of his life Wanda Juanita [Williams] Paty Garza in Ada, Ok. Jim graciously took on an instant family as Wanda had 7 children. They went on to raise four grandchildren and adopted an 8th child for a total of 12 children. He worked the majority of his life in the oil field and worked in a machine shop prior to retiring. He was preceded in death by his father Juan Garza, his mother Gumesinda Garza, wife Wanda Garza, daughter Brend Lacqument, brothers Candilario Garza, Juan Fuentes, Alfredo Garza, and Juan "Johnnie" Garza; sisters Celia Spear, Francis Rodriguez, Lupe Hearnadez, Dora Ytuarte, and Angelita Garza. He is survived by sons, Lindsey Paty and wife Carla, Adam Paty and wife Michelle, Pat Paty and wife Cristal, Jacob Garza and wife Modine and very special son Michael Walker; daughters Linda Prestwich, Nancy Maxwell and husband Jeff, Twyla Paty and husband George Strait ?; sisters Maria Thomas, Olivia Yanez and husband Pete and brother Raymon Garza and wife Maria; 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. In June of 2020 Jim moved to Norman to live with his daughter Twyla Paty to receive much needed medical care. While living in Norman he bragged about helping care for his 2 great-grandchildren Sawyer and Riggs McKee and accepted this duty with great honor. Little did we know Riggs would become his best buddy, companion and best friend over the past 11 months spending lots of time in PaPas lap. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at 2:00pm at Wynnewood First Baptist Church under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood. |
© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma September 9, 2016 Wanda Juanita [Williams] Garza February 15, 1937 ~ September 8, 2016 Wanda Juanita Garza, of Wynnewood, passed away September 8, 2016 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Wanda was born in Heavener, Oklahoma to Samuel & Corinthians Brock Williams. She enjoyed cooking for her very large family, supervising the care of all her beautiful plants and flowers, she loved her church and church family dearly, loved gospel music and especially loved hearing her children sing, and she loved and adored all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Williams, then by her mother, Corinthians Brock Williams Jenkins and step-father, Ira Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by ALL of her siblings: six sisters, Edith "Blondie" Felan, Frankie Taylor, Treva Pelfrey, Dorthy Williams; two half-sisters, Victoria 'Tiny" Ridgeway and Retha Strickland, as well as her five brothers, Eugene Williams, Clyde Williams, Preston Williams, Grover Williams and Lindsey Williams; and two sons-in-law, Chet Prestwich and Mark Lacqument. Surviving family include: her husband of 37 years, Jim Garza, of the home; nine children, Linda Prestwich, Wynnewood; Brenda Lacqument, Pauls Valley; Nancy and husband, Jeff, Rev. Lindsey Paty and wife, Carla, Adam Paty and wife, Michelle, and Twyla Paty, all of Wynnewood; Pat Paty and wife, Cristal, Ardmore; Jacob Garza and special son, Michael Walker, of the home; 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Wanda had a special bond with the nurses and staff from Arbuckle Memorial Hospital, who gave her wonderful love and care. She lovingly referred to Dr. Teresa as her little "spit-fire". She loved and adored Brenda Winters and often told us she was one of her children. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Wynnewood First Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Lynn Phillips and Rev. Tom Ison. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
