Viola Mae [Owens] Watson
May 29, 1926 ~ January 31, 2011


Viola Mae Watson, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 31, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

She was born May 29, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Clifford Owens and Iva.

She was married to James T. "Potter" Watson in First Presbyterian Church in Pauls Valley in 1947.

She was a Telephone Operator and Instructor for AT&T. Viola was a member of Pauls Valley Church of Christ and has made Pauls Valley her home all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James T. "Potter" Watson; 2 brothers, Clifford Owens, Jr. and Bill Owens; and 3 sisters, Lorene Whitaker, Ruby Owens and Hazel Whitaker.

Surviving family include her son James "Bob" Watson and his wife, Susan, of Frenchtown, New Jersey; granddaughter, Shanna Judovin of New Jersey; brother, Jerry Owens of Pauls Valley; sisters, Doris Rhodes of Pauls Valley and Mary Chronister of Wynnewood.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 11:00 am but has been moved to the Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Roy Shave. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
