© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma October 7, 2007 July 14, 1919 ~ January 16, 2011 Arthur Eugene " Bill" Shamley, of Pauls Valley was born July 14, 1919 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma to Claud and Mary Adaline Shamley. He passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. Bill was married to Pauline Tooman in Hobart, Oklahoma in 1937. His home in his youthful years was in the Fort Cobb area. Bill loved sports and excelled in Basketball and Boxing. Bill and Pauline moved to a newly purchased farm located on Rush Creek West of Pauls Valley in the mid 1940's. Bill loved hard work and found it plentiful on this farm, where he thrived with his Lord's Blessings. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Mary Shamley; his beloved wife, Pauline, his five brothers and four sisters. Surviving family include 1 daughter and her husband, Susan and Jim Coates, of Pauls Valley; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Coates, of Purcell; and Scott Coates and his wife, Shannon, of Pauls Valley; 2 great grandchildren, Gracie & Jackson Coates, who brightened his last days immensely; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr Joe Elam. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
