© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma January 2019 Launa Ruby [Vaughan] Dennis September 28, 1919 ~ January 27, 2019 Launa Ruby Dennis, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 27, 2019 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 99 years. Launa Ruby Vaughan was born September 28, 1919 in Eaton, Colorado to Claude and Grace [Shipley] Vaughan. She moved to Oklahoma at an early age and was raised in the Garvin County area, living most of her life in the Walker Community, Wynnewood and Pauls Valley and was a member of the Church of Christ. For many years she worked at as Cook at the Walker School and later at Fields Kitchen. Later she worker for a time at Wackers Warehouse. She never passed up an opportunity to go fishing or traveling with her brother for months at a time. Her life span went from working hard where you raised everything you ate and lived without electricity or water in the house to modern conveniences. Her legacy was not her career where she worked, but how many people loved her for her gentle spirit. She gives credit for her long life for loving the Lord and praying and praising Him for health and long life. Launa was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Grace Vaughan; husband, W. P. Blevins; and husband I. A. Dennis; one son, Terry Blevins; two brothers, Byron and Buron Vaughan; and a sister, Wilma Hairell. Her surviving family include: her son, Larry Blevins of Tupelo; a daughter and her husband, June and Eugene Markum of Wynnewood; step-daughters and husbands, Joyce and Gaylon Russell of Duncan; Linda and Rip Moore of Pauls Valley; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Nancy Vaughan of Mansfield, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 38 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reuben Rog and Ron Markum, a grandson. Interment will be at Mt.
