© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma December 21, 2014 Joseph L. "Joe" Copeland August 28, 1932 ~ January 1, 2015 Joe L. Copeland, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 1, 2015 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years. He was born August 28, 1932 near Marietta, Oklahoma, in Love County, to Coy Leslie and Josephine [McAnally] Copeland. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 until 1955. On December 20, 2000 he and Patty Sage Diggs were married in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He has lived in and out of Pauls Valley since 1951. Joe was a Funeral Director & Embalmer and has served in the Funeral Service for over 50 years. He worked for several funeral homes including Stufflebean Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. Joe was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy L. and Josephine Copeland. Surviving family include his wife, Patty Copeland of the home; daughter, Cheryl Weeden and her husband, Jon, of Phoenix, Arizona; and grandson, Kyle P. Copeland and his wife, Lisa, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and two great grandsons; son, Carl D. Copeland and his wife, Elizabeth, of Pauls Valley; Patty's daughter, Lisa Ashworth and her husband, Jay, of Coppell, Texas; and grandsons, Daniel and Nathaniel Ashworth; son, Jeff Diggs and his wife, Cindy, of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Jeremy, Meghan and Morgan Diggs; and great grandson, Aden Diggs, as well as 42 cousins; his four-legged children, Susie, Rosie and Billy, his pride and joy; and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Jay Ashworth. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
