She was born July 9, 1921 in Lebanon, Oklahoma to Raymond W. and Melva L. Grimes. Audean Grimes was married to John Brice (J. B.) Colson in Madill, Oklahoma on October 16, 1937. She worked at the Pauls Valley General Hospital and had earned her Certified Nurses Aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Melva Grimes; her husband, John Brice "Jack" Colson; a brother, Kenoth Grimes. Surviving family include her 2 sons, J. B. Colson, Jr, and Teddy Ray Colson, both of Pauls Valley; 6 grandchildren, Lisa, Lori, Dallas, Carrie, Jeremiah & Adam; and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements and interment are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |

"Junior" Colson, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 1, 2016 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 75. J. B. was born June 30, 1940 in Lebanon, Oklahoma to J. B. "Jack" and Audean [Grimes] Colson. He and his family moved to Pauls Valley and he made it his home for over 67 years. J.B. is a 1959 graduate of Pauls Valley High School. He worked as a grocery manager, as a roughneck in the oil fields, served as police officer of Pauls Valley, was an auto-body mechanic and was well known for many years as a cook. His passion was hunting and enjoying the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents, J. B. "Jack" and Audean Colson; former wife, Linda Jo Burch and a step-son, Jody Storm. Surviving family include his two daughters, Lisa Bradley of Moore, OK; Lori Colson of Newalla, OK, and brother, Teddy Ray Colson of Pauls Valley, OK. He is also survived by former wife, Reneah Colson of Elmore City. OK; step-daughter, Dallas Pierce of Elmore City, OK; two step- grandchildren, Jeremy Pierce of Pauls Valley, OK; and Jessica Benavides of Elmore City, OK; as well as four step-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be conducted by family at 1:30p.m on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion. Urn-burial will be close to his parents at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Services for cremation are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home and they invite you to send a message of condolence and view the family's guestbook at the Guest Book link below.
