Carolyn Sue "Carol" Claxton, 64, Ada OK, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at a local hospital.

She was born July 25, 1947, in Purcell OK to Ervin and Eula Mae Finley Moody.

She attended school in Washington OK.

She married Billy Claxton on July 29, 1962. She and her husband moved to the Ada area in 1978 from Cushing OK. Mrs. Claxton was a sales clerk for Stage Department Store, JCPenney, Dunlap's, and most recently for Hudson Furniture in Ada.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Claxton, of the home; son Billy Don Claxton and wife Amanda of Ada; daughters Sheila Goad and husband Tommie of Ada, and Kim Guess and husband Greg of Ada; brother Gerald Moody and wife Armelda of Washington OK; sisters Shirley Elms of Norman OK and Betty Biby and husband Butch of Purcell; and grandchildren Cody Claxton, Craig Claxton, Miranda Claxton, Jennifer Perry, Zachary Perry, Lauren Guess, Baylee Guess, and Bree Guess.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Monroe Moody, Merrell Moody, and Gary Moody.
