© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma September 18, 2013 James Orval Chandler November 10, 1920 ~ September 18, 2013 US Veteran James Orval Chandler, of Pauls Valley, was born November 10, 1920 in Roland, Oklahoma to Earl and Myrtle Chandler. He passed away September 18, 2013 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years. James was raised in the Seminole area where he married Ola Louise Hyatt on June 9, 1942. They moved to Amarillo, Texas where they lived for 45 years. Pauls Valley has been home since 1995. He was a Furniture Store Manager with a specialty in interior design. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by wife, Ola Louise Chandler; brothers, Joseph Chandler, Kenneth Chandler, Edward Chandler; sister, Louella Daugherty and son-in-law, David Rice. Surviving family includes his children, Dr. James Michael and wife Bonnie Chandler of Celina, Texas; Joe Wesley Chandler of Pauls Valley; Dr. Arlinda Kay Hodges and her husband Mark of Canon City, Colorado; and Joyce Ann Rice of Pauls Valley; brothers, Paul and his wife Betty Chandler of County Line, Ok; and Earl D. Chandler of Duncan; sisters, Naomi Tate of Pauls Valley; Neva and her husband, Rev. Billy Bowles, also, of Pauls Valley; Eva and her husband, Ralph Griffin of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Stacey Moore, Jonathan Chandler, Lt. Col. Select, Ryan and his wife, Dr. Gesa Moon; Scott and his wife Danielle Rice; great grandchildren, Jaxxon, Emerysn, Leon, Noah, Alexis, Kylee, Dallas and Tezrah. Family visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, September 20, 2013 in the evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Roger Rounsaville and Rev. Billy Bowles. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
