© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma March 10, 2011 January 10, 1931 ~ March 10, 2011 Wayne Carpenter, of Paoli was born January 10, 1931 in Maud, Oklahoma to James Thomas Carpenter and Leona Rose [Grant] Carpenter. He passed away March 10, 2011 at his home in Paoli, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years. Wayne served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1950. After his military service he worked in the oil field, and was a sales representative for the oil fields until retiring after 44 years in 1994. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation and attended the Assembly of God Church in Pauls Valley. Wayne was married to Tretha Whitefield in Wichita Falls, Texas on September 18, 1964. He loved God, his family and his country. He loved God, his family and his country. Surviving family include his wife of 46 years, Tretha, of the home in Paoli; two daughters, Kathy Sadler, of Oklahoma City; Kim McNeill and her husband, Rod, of Paoli; son, D'wayne Ashley and his wife, Vickie, of Paoli; 8 grandchildren, Amanda Sutton and her husband, Ian, of Tulsa; Natalie Faiman and her husband, Roman, of Northridge, Ca.; Trevor Sadler, of Oklahoma City; Veleisa Dodds, of Paoli; Lynne Kruse and her husband, Dewayne, of Pauls Valley; D. J. Ashley and his wife, Vashta, of Paoli; Jessica and Shea McNeill, of Paoli; 9 great grandchildren, Zack and Aurora Sutton, Ben and Olivia Faiman, Dalen Dodds, Brendan & Dylan Kruse, Marshall and Cobi Ashley, one sister, Ruth Stropes and her husband, Jim, of Bethany; two brothers, Don Carpenter and his wife, Hatsue, and Roger Carpenter and his wife, Doris, all of Oklahoma City. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Rev. Charles Dean. Interment will be under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
