Carnell, of Pauls Valley, was born July 11, 1960 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Harley and Genetta [Haney] Carnell. He passed away November 17, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 51 years. Donald was raised in the Pauls Valley area and attended Pauls Valley Schools. On August 9, 1986 he and Anita F. Rush were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He worked at Farm and Ranch Feed store and later worked on the farm for Trey Lam. For the past 10 years he has worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Pauls Valley where he was a Forklift Driver. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and has made the Pauls Valley area his home all of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Carnell. Surviving family include his wife of 25 years, Anita, and their children, Tyler Carnell and his wife, Skyla; and Maranda Carnell; two grandchildren, Alexis Carnell and Colten Carnell, all of Pauls Valley; his mother, Genetta Carnell and; his father and mother-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. Henry Rush, Jr., all of Pauls Valley; four sisters, Linda Popejoy and her husband, Aubrey; Sharon McBroom, all of Pauls Valley; Cindy Moore and her husband, Johnny, of Elmore City; and Rita McBroom of Pauls Valley; three brothers and their wives, David and Penny Carnell, Danny and Sheila Carnell, and James and Wilma Carnell, all of Pauls Valley; Anita's brother and sisters, Connie McNutt and her husband, Larry, of Pauls Valley; Harold Rush and his wife, Lisa, of Lawton; Clara Wright and her husband, Rufus, of Wynnewood; Roger Rush and Sharon Rush and her husband, Ricky, of Pauls Valley; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley officiated by Rev. Jerry Gaches. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
