© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma May 6, 2013 March 5, 1938 ~ May 6, 2013 Margie "Nan" Caldwell, of Pauls Valley, was born on March 5, 1938 to G. W. and Delitha Morse in Powell, Oklahoma. Margie grew up in Ravia where she attended school and accepted the Lord as her personal Savior early in life. Margie loved the game of basketball and played with all her heart. She graduated with honors. She married the love of her life Jerrall Caldwell on May 22, 1957 in the Church of God in Ravia, Oklahoma. They made their home in Pauls Valley and this union was blessed with three wonderful children. Nan, as she was so lovingly known by her family and friends, was blessed to have many wonderful qualities that she would share with all she came in contact with. She enjoyed playing the guitar, writing songs and singing. She enjoyed beautiful things and was quite the gardener, cook, painter and poet. As she raised her children she would lead by example. Nan loved the Lord and did not mind letting everyone know that God is good and He is coming back soon. Nan loved her husband and would often refer to him as "Poppy" or her boyfriend. She was a member of the First Assembly of God where she and her husband began a ministry of teaching and singing at the nursing home. Nan was an adamant supporter of the Panthers so much so that she would send out cards of encouragement to all the young people, not one time a month but every week for 17 plus years. Nan was a prayer warrior for her family, the youth of this community and anyone else that would make a request for prayer. Nan departed this life on May 6, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. Margie leaves to ever cherish her memories: her faithful husband, Jerrall Caldwell, of the home; children, Chris & Jan Caldwell, Mark Caldwell, and Tammy & Bobby Delaplain, all of Pauls Valley; 1 sister, Ruby Pope of Claremore; 2 brothers, William (Bill) Morse of Madill and Roy Morse of Claremore; 5 grandchildren, Robby & Suzy Delaplain, of Paoli; Ryan & Amber Caldwell, of Pauls Valley; Dusty & Holly Delaplain, of Pauls Valley; Courtney Caldwell, of Oklahoma City; Kody & Megan Delaplain, of Pauls Valley; and Matt & Laryn Jones, of Pauls Valley; 5 great grandchildren, Madison Delaplain, Phoenix Delaplain, Jolee Delaplain, Kinlee McCurtain, and Kyra McCurtain, and two on the way, Maverick Delaplain and Reid Jones. In lieu of flowers, in Nan's memory, please make all donations to "The Panther Athletic Club", c/o Kirk Moore, P.O. Box 780, Pauls Valley, OK 73075. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Pauls Valley High School Auditorium officiated by Rev. Roger Rounsaville, Rev. Billy Davenport and Rev. Rocky Walker. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
