© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma May 23, 2012 Mary Ruth [Dunkin] Burton May 15, 1936 ~ May 23, 2012 Mary Ruth Burton, of Pauls Valley, was born May 15, 1936 in Cedar Lane, Texas to Ernest and Edna [Broadhead] Dunkin. She passed away May 23, 2012 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years. She was married to Robert 'Bob' Leslie Burton in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on December 28, 1953. She worked at the Pauls Valley State School for many years and is a retired Direct Care Provider. Mary Ruth was a member of First Church of God in Pauls Valley and has lived in Garvin County all of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Edna Dunkin; her husband, Robert 'Bob' Leslie Burton; four sons, Robert Earl Burton, James Burton, Ronald Leslie Burton and Kelley Joe Burton; a granddaughter, Kimberly Louise Burton; and brothers, Dalton, Ralph, Dale Dunkin. Surviving family include her children, Shelia Carnell, Jennifer Sutton and her husband, Don, all of Pauls Valley; and Jerry Burton and his wife, Deb, of New Mexico; 2 daughters-in-law, Eugenia Burton and Carol Burton; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Betty Kirk of Oregon and Luella Means of Elgin; 1 brother, Jerry Dunkin of Enid; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other, relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Terry Clayton. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
