© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma December 4, 2014 Cecil D. Bowman December 13, 1944 ~ December 4, 2014 Cecil D. Bowman, of Moore, passed away December 4, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years. Cecil was born December 13, 1944 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Cecil Andrew and Nadine Lozell Potter. As an infant he came to Pauls Valley with his parents; later they moved to Del Rio, Texas while he was in the 2nd grade and in the 10th grade moved to Kentucky where he graduated from High School. Cecil joined the United States Air Force on May 3, 1967 and served his country until his second discharge on December 20, 1971. During his tour he and Olive Beauchamp were married in Hermansville, Michigan on August 1, 1970. They were blessed with two children, Edward and Millissa. He is retired from the State of Oklahoma and held numerous jobs in Administration. Cecil, also, worked with Scouting as a Weeblos Leader and was in the Civil Air Patrol; a member of the Association of Alumni and Friends at the Oklahoma City Community College and was a member of the American Legion Post number 0213 in Oklahoma City. He has been a member for many years of the Sheriff and Peace Officer's Association of Oklahoma and just recently a member of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Infra Guard Technician Support Center. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Nadine L. and Lee J. Pearson; his father, Cecil A. Bowman and a number of aunts and uncles. Surviving family include his wife, Olive Bowman of the home; one son, Edward Bowman and his wife, Brittany of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Millissa Weems and her husband, Robert, of St. Joseph, Missouri; as well as five grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Bill Gardner. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home |
