© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma July 31, 2015 Jimmy Dale Blevins October 8, 1950 ~ July 28, 2015 Jimmy Dale Blevins was born October 8, 1950 to D.E. and Juanita Blevins in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He passed from this earth on July 28, 2015 to join his heavenly father and beloved family that had passed before him. Jimmy Dale Blevins was loved by all that knew him. He was a jokester who enjoyed pestering and making people laugh. Growing up he was known for being ornery and that did not change as he aged, even after two tours in Vietnam. With his sisters he would reminisce about their youth and recalling catching his older sisters "Aunt Sis" clothes on fire because he was camping with his brother, Jerry's, lantern. He would also reminisce about the story of giving his mother a black eye because his glass bottle was out of nup nup. He was a wonderful father who loved his children greatly. Camping was a must every summer when his kids were young. As his children grew older his ties with then were just as tight. They knew if they needed him he would be there as quick as he could, as he did with his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings. He was one of the best uncles a kid could ever ask for from dog licks, toe popping, and horse bites on your knees you knew he loved you deeply. Holidays will never be the same without guarding your plate from his fork, to him calling out the numbers at bingo. Papa Jimmy to all, Jimmy Dale had several grandchildren of his own, yet he was Papa to almost every child in his life taking over the role of Papa toward all of his great nieces and nephews. Children all over town knew him and loved him dearly. He was known for taking care of the streets in Pauls Valley. Jimmy worked for the City of Pauls Valley and could do any job asked of him. He was a one of a kind hard worker, forced to take vacation, rarely used personal time, and never used sick leave. Jimmy Dale Blevins was preceded in death by his parents, D.E. and Juanita Blevins, paternal grandparents W.E. and Myrtle Blevins, maternal grandparents C. W. and Ludie Carson, three brothers, Donnie Hervey, Robert Blevins, and Teddy Ray Blevins, and one grandson Jesse James Gill. Jimmy Dale Blevins is survived by one son James Blevins and Ron of Chandler; one daughter Melinda Reiser and Rick of Pauls Valley; two stepsons J.J. Gill and Amber of Pauls Valley, David Davis and Beverly of Maysville, and one stepdaughter Jerrina Brad and Chuck of Maysville; 17 grandchildren Tiffany Hernandez and Domingo of Ca., Brittany Reiser and JJ of Pauls Valley, Chrissy Griffin, Cody Dale McLaughlin, Melina, Matthew and William Harris, Xzavier and Luke Davis, Nathan and Hailey Brad, Trey, Isaiah, Karin Le and Ryan Gill, Mersadez Raper and Guthrie Miller; and three great grandchildren Ivanna, Olivia, Mark and one due Jan. 2016; two brothers Billy Hervey and Betty of Utah and Jerry Hervey and Jo Ellen of Pauls Valley, 4 sisters, Linda Burrows of Moore, Virginia Hervey and Fay Parker of Pauls Valley, Anna Jo Smith and her husband, James also of Pauls Valley; one sister-in-law Joyce Seitz of Pauls Valley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews all of which he loved dearly. |
