© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma February 6, 2014 Samuel Newton "Newt" Blankenship May 15, 1926 ~ February 6, 2014 Sam "Newt" Blankenship, of Pauls Valley, passed away February 6, 2014 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. Sam was born May 15, 1926 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and has made this area his home all of his life. Sam was married to Ramona "Mona" Ruth Nunley in Ardmore, Oklahoma on February 14, 1953. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2000. He was a member of Higher Ground Church and proudly worked for Oklahoma Tank Line as a Truck Driver for 24 years and later worked at Jerry's Self Service Station for 21 years before retiring from both. Preceding him death also include his parents, Bailey and Berda Leann Blankenship; his wife, Mona; two brothers, Clyde Blankenship and Jack Benny Blankenship and sister, Corene Ficklin. Surviving family include his children, Toni Livingston and her husband, Jeff, of Pauls Valley; Gerry Blankenship and his wife, Kathy, of Oklahoma City; and Darryl Blankenship of Pauls Valley; brother, Ralph Blankenship and his wife, Beatrice; 2 sisters, Lorene Anderson and Mary Jarrel, all of Wynnewood; 5 grandchildren, Shea Livingston, Stephen Berschauer, Caleb Livingston, Molly Livingston, and Josh Blankenship. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Joel Downing. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |

"Mona" Nunley Blankenship June 26, 1933 ~ July 23, 2000 Mona Blankenship of Pauls Valley was born June 26, 1933 in Konawa, Oklahoma to R. G. and Margie Bell Nunley and passed away at Pauls Valley General Hospital on Sunday, July 23, 2000 at the age of 67. She married Sam N. Blankenship on February 14, 1953 in Ardmore, Oklahoma and lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of Higher Ground Church Mona enjoyed singing and going to church and being with her family. Her family, church and singing were the fullness of her life. Mrs. Blankenship is survived by her husband, San Blankenship, of the home; three children, Toni Livingston, Pauls Valley, Darryl Blankenship of the home and Garry Blankenship of Oklahoma City; her parents, R. G. and Margie Nunley of Pauls Valley; four sisters, Dee Milligan and Diana Sue Ammons, both of Pauls Valley, Lee Davis of Lebanon, Oklahoma and Brenda Nunley of Wynnewood; two brothers, Royce Nunley of Wynnewood and Tim Nunley of Pauls Valley; and five grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Blankenship were on Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at the Stufflebean Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend Joel Downing. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home. |
