© DeArman's Wynnewood Funeral Home Sulphur, Oklahoma April 2020 Oweda Vivian [Riedel] Shults September 14, 1932 ~ April 11, 2020 Oweda Shults, formerly of Stratford, Oklahoma passed away April 11, 2020 at her home in Minnesota. Oweda was born September 14, 1932 to Willie and Vera Riedel. Oweda graduated high school in 1946. She married John "Babe" Shults on July 22, 1950. She worked as a hair dresser and later owned and operated her own clothing store Shults Sportswear in Stratford and then in Ada. Oweda had many friends and was loved by so many. She had a great personality and was very proud of her family. Though She had some significant losses throughout her life she still spread love to everyone and made friends anywhere she went! Even in her last years at the assisted living home all the nurses loved her and she loved them! Oweda's greatest joys were her grand kids. She always made sure they had more than they ever needed. She was a wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Preceded in death by her parents Willie and Vera Riedel, sisters; Dee Tucker, Kaye Curry, brother Ronald Riedel, her husband Babe Shults, daughter Cindy Miner and son Lynn Shults. Survived by ; two sisters Reba Ohlendorf [Bob] and Peggy Sarrett. Four grandchildren, Brandon Miner, Brent Miner, Zackery Shults [Erica], Lindsey Nowling [Brent]. Nine Great Grand kids, Brook Miner [Chris Baker], Brianna Miner, McKenzie Fisher [Spencer] Tyler Miner, Briley Miner, Wyatt Nowling, Emmalynn Shults, Brenna Nowling and Waylin Nowling. Two great great grand babies Sawyer Baker and Lincoln Fisher. Many nieces, nephews and special friends. Pallbearers; Mike Hart, Randy Hart, Rusty Tucker, and Todd Curry. Services; Oweda will lay in state all day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Thursday April 16, 2020 at DeArman/Pickard Funeral Home Stratford Oklahoma. Graveside Service will be 1:00 PM Friday April 17, 2020. at McGee cemetery. |
