© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma March 23, 2009 May 2, 1938 ~ March 11, 2009 Funeral services for Robert Wiley Craig, 70, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held Saturday, March 14 at the Newcastle Freewill Baptist Church. Graveside services were held at the McGee Cemetery in Stratford. Robert Wiley Craig was born May 2, 1938 in, Stratford, the son of Robert Samuel and Verl [White] Craig and died March 11, 2009 in Oklahoma City. He lived most of his life in the Tuttle, Oklahoma City and Moore areas. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1956 to 1959. He and Mary Davis were married March 28, 1960 in Pauls Valley. Robert was an air traffic controller for the FAA for more than 30 years. Robert attended Oklahoma City University. He was a charter member and deacon at the Newcastle Freewill Baptist Church. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and camping with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Mary Craig of the home, two sons Rob Craig, and wife Shelly of Glenpool and Nick Craig of Moore, one daughter Julie Stevens and husband Matthew of Tuttle, two sisters Joyce Hardegree of Arlington, Texas, Sharon Gregory of Austin, Texas, one brother Jon Craig of Midwest City, five grandchildren Robby, Jeana, Ty, Madison and Ian Craig. Interment was Saturday at the McGee Cemetery in Stratford under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newcastle Freewill Baptist Church. |
