Madison Monroe "Si" Burnett Jr
October 20, 1921 ~ July 3, 2014


Madison Monroe Burnett Jr was born October 20, 1921 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Madison Monroe SR and Maggie Lena [Byford] Burnett. He passed away at his home in Los Angeles, California at the age of 92 years 8 months and 13 days. He served our country in WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was married to Paula Markley in Greeley, Colorado on June 21, 1954. He was a school teacher and an avid fisherman. He was preceded by his wife Paula on April 4, 2004, and his parents, two brothers John Haskell "Hack" Burnett and Jack Burnett, and five sisters, Maxine Endicott, Leona Watts, Ruth Shi, Marie Clark, and Beatrice Roberts.

Survived by one daughter Theresa Burnett, of Los Angeles, California; one brother Jim Burnett of Stratford, Oklahoma. One sister Carolyn Eyler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be Graveside 10:00 AM in McGee Cemetery Saturday July 12, 2014 Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating Rev. Johnny Burnett.

James Byford "Jim" Burnett
April 23, 1934 ~ December 11, 2019


James Byford "Jim" Burnett of Stratford, was born April 23, 1934 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Madison Monroe Burnett and Maggie Lena [Byford] Burnett. He passed into Heaven from his home in Stratford at the age of 85 years 7 months and 17 days. After graduation he went on to gain his Bachelor's degree in Math. He married Barbara Griffin in Stratford on June 5, 1955. He became a Senior Systems Analyst in the Aerospace Industry. They moved from Stratford to Fort Worth, Texas, then to Columbus, Ohio, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior; moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma then retired back to Stratford in 1994. Jim and Barbara were members of the Stratford First Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, and father and loved the Lord. He is now at home with Jesus.

Preceded by; his parents, wife Barbara in 2013, 6 sisters; Beatrice, Carolyn, Leona, Marie, Maxine, and Ruth. 3 brothers; Hack, Jack, and Si.

Survived by; 2 daughters; Janis Ortwein & husband Chris, Byars, OK.

Jolena Hardin Holdenville, OK.
2 sons; James Burnett & wife Jackie, Tulsa, OK.
John Burnett & wife Cheryl, Stratford, OK.
15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers; Joshua Ortwein, James V. Burnett, John Clay Burnett, Jeffrey Burnett, Mathew R. Hardin, Caleb Burnett and Benjamin Burnett.

Services; 2:00 PM Sunday December 15, 2019 First Baptist Church Stratford, Oklahoma. Officiating; Rev. Keith Stevens. Burial McGee Cemetery Stratford.

Barbara Earlene Burnett, 76, of Stratford passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.

Services were held Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Stratford First Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Stevens officiating.

Burial were at McGee Cemetery in Stratford.

Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home in Stratford.
