© Tishomingo Funeral Home Tishomingo, Oklahoma July 2020 May 5, 1951 ~ July 9, 2020 Michael Ray Wood of Lindsay, Ok passed from this life on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill, Ok at the age of 69 years, 2 months, and 4 days. Michael was born May 5, 1951 to the late Johnny Ray Wood and Lena Rivers [Baker] Wood. He was known as "Woody" to those closest to him. Woody grew up and lived in the Lindsay area all his life. Because of recent illness, he was moved to Madill to be close to family Woody loved his family, a good joke, football games and the New York Yankees. His smile would brighten the day. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Richard Shannon Wood. He is survived by a son, Michael Joe Slater; grandchildren, Payson Slater and William "Willie" Slater; sisters, Johanna Wood of Elmore City, Patricia Slate and husband, Rusty of Kingston, Kathleen Clouse and husband, Shane of Saint Charles, Mo; brother, Gary Wood of Vernon, Tx. He also leaves behind three very dear aunts, Erna Mae Tannehill, Betty Lou Coffee, and Catherine Martin and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private family services will be held at a later date at Maysville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Tishomingo Funeral Home.
