© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma March 2021 April 27, 1940 ~ March 22, 2021 Doyle Lee Pickett, of Pauls Valley, passed away March 22, 2021 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years. Doyle Lee Pickett was born April 27, 1940 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Alvin L. and Lula M. [Fincher] Pickett. Maysville and then Pauls Valley was his home all of his life. He was a member of the Pauls Valley First Church of God. He worked for G.W. Wacker’s and Indian Nation Printing Shop before going to work at school. Doyle worked in the Pauls Valley School System until his retirement. In 1998 he earned the award of being named the Outstanding Custodian of the State of Oklahoma. Doyle was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lula Pickett; one sister, Connie Tobey; four brothers, Billy Pickett, Ray Dean Pickett, Gary Pickett and Darron Dee Pickett; brothers in law, James Tobey and Ray Johnson and sisters in law, Mary Pickett and Sybil Pickett. His surviving family include his brother and his wife, Homer and Neta Pickett of Pauls Valley; two sisters, Patsy and her husband, James Holt, of Pauls Valley; and Barbara Johnson, of Norman. Funeral services will be held at First Church of God. Interment will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
