© Wilson-Little Funeral Home Newcastle, Oklahoma August 6, 2015 John Wesley "Wess" Idleman John Wesley Idleman, age 84 of Maysville, passed away Thursday, August 06, 2015, at the Sunset Estates Nursing Home in Purcell. Wess was born May 18, 1931 in Purcell, OK, 1 of 9 children and the youngest son of Phineas Leroy Idleman and Jessie [Hawkins] Idleman. He was raised primarily in the Maysville and Wayne communities and attended Blanton View Schools. Wess married his best friend and first love, Ms. Ann Fae Adams on December 23, 1950 in Purcell. They made their home in Maysville where together they raised 5 children; Gail, Steve, Ginger, Tommy and Janet. Wess worked for Garvin County for many years as a Supervisor and also drove a truck for a time. He farmed in his spare time but spent most of his years working as a machinist at the Burford Corporation. Wess cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a longtime and faithful member of the Story Baptist Church. Wess loved a good Bob Wills song, and his greatest joy was time spent with his hound's coon hunting. He fondly remarked, "It was music to my ears," He will be dearly missed! He was preceded in death by: His parents, Phineas and Jessie Idleman Siblings, Cecil Idleman, Leroy Idleman, Grace Gentry, Helen Davis, Lou Allison, Evelyn Townsend and Bill Idleman. John leaves behind: His wife of 64 years, Ann Idleman; His five Children, Gail Willis and husband Ronnie of Norman, Steve Idleman and wife Debbie of Maysville, Ginger Randol and husband Jim of Maysville, Tommy Idleman and wife Judy of Maysville, Janet Ake and husband Fuzzy of Shawnee Sister, Dorothy Blevins and husband Smokey of Bunker Hill, IL; Sister-in-law Clara Mae Idleman of Lone Grove; 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; Plus several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015, at the Maysville Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell. |
