© Winans Funeral Home Maysville Oklahoma January 1998 April 4. 1928 - January 31, 1998 Noble R. Gamble, 69 of Stringtown, died Saturday at McAlester Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Maysville First Baptist Church with Rev. Curt Bartmess and Rev. Bob Muncey officiating. Burial will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Winans Funeral Home of Maysville. Born April 4, 1928 in Shady Point, he was the son of Odis and Alta Baker Gamble. He moved to the Maysville area about 1948 and worked in the oilfield for Dresser Construction. He married Virginia Morphew on Dec. 24, 1948 in Gainesville, Texas. In 1955 he opened a used car lot and later owned and operated the Noble Gamble Ford Dealtership in Maysville until 1969. The family moved to Stringtown and owned and operated a cattle ranch since that time. He was a member of the Oklahoma Cattleman's Association . He was also a member of the Maysville First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Virginia, of the home; three children, Tim Gamble and his wife, Connie of Pauls Valley, Steve Gamble and his wife, Linda of Kiowa, and Sherrie Epperly and her husband, Derrel of Stringtown. Also, four grandchildren, Brant Gamble, Chris Gamble, Matt Gamble and Leyna Epperly; a great-grandchild, Ashton; a sister Mrs. Ottie Riddle of Pauls Valley; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Olin Gamble. |
