September 5, 1934 ~ November 23, 2019

Mary Sue Donham was born on September 5, 1934 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Astor and Myrtle (Walker) Jones. On Saturday, November 23, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma she departed this earthly life to enter the gates of Heaven at the age of 85 years.

Mary Sue attended Byford Grade School and was a graduate of Stratford High School, and she said the only time she got out of school was to pick cotton in the Fall.

While in school she excelled as a pitcher for the softball team and a forward for the basketball team.

During high school she met the love of her life, Jim Shi Donham and on August 2, 1952 they were married in Maysville where they established their home. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who was an excellent cook and was known for her cornbread dressing and fried pies.

Farming was always a big part of her life. She could run swathers, tractors, and trucks all while raising a garden and their children.

She loved, loved her family and treasured each one of them and expressed her love to each one in her own special way.

Mary Sue was always so welcoming to everyone she met and her church was a major part of her life. She was a member of the Abundant Love Fellowship.

Through the years she has gained countless friends and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her survivors include children: Cindy Wilmot and husband Jesse of Maysville; Debby Gamble and husband Danny of Maysville; Kelly Donham of Maysville; and Mary Alice Koehn and husband Rod of Norman. Grandchildren: Toby Wilmot []Trisha], Robby Wilmot []Jennifer], Erin Blankenship []Dustin], Danny Paul Gamble, Julie Hobson []Brad], Kresha Becker (Brandon), Gunner Shi Donham, Josie Donham, and great grandchildren: Gabe, Ty, and Gentry Wilmot, Beau Blankenship, Hunter and Leslie Wilmot, and Ella, Hank, and Jack Hobson. Sisters: Joyce Weaver of Topeka, Kansas and Frances Mitchell of Bartlesville. Sister-in-law, Peggy Jones of Stratford.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Astor and Myrtle Jones; husband, Jim Shi Donham; and sisters Lorene Wood and Thelma Savage; and a brother, Evan Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Abundant Love Fellowship, PO Box 545, Maysville, OK 73057 to support ministries that were close to Mary Sue's heart.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville with Bro. Danny Gamble officiating.
