Alice Pearl [Helvey] Deviney
February 28, 1934 ~ October 5, 2021


Alice Deviney, a precious soul joined her Lord and Savior in her Heavenly Home on October 5, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born in Morton, Texas on February 28, 1934, to Ben Weeks Helvey and Lena Alene [Cooper] Helvey.

Alice married her beloved Jack "JT" Deviney in Portales, New Mexico on May 26, 1953.

Alice had a loving heart and always enjoyed going to church especially when there were families who needed a meal prepared and served because a loved one had passed from this life.

She loved reading a good book, going for a swim, and cooking delicious meals for her family. Alice cherished her family and looked forward to spending time together.

Mrs. Deviney is survived by her husband, Jack Turner Deviney of the home; son, Ronald Lee Deviney and [deceased] wife Lynn, daughters, Tresea Ann Schnittker and husband Brian, Patricia Lynn Fischer and husband Anthony, Kimberley Sue Wall and husband John; Sisters, Artie Taylor, Lilly Mae Taylor and husband [deceased] Doyle, along with many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Deviney was preceded in death by her daughter Juanita Kay Jiminez and husband Joe; parents, Ben and Lena Helvey, sisters, Dorothy Hall and husband CD, Fern Wilkerson and husband Levi, Bertie Crisp and husband Troy, and brothers, Earl Helvey and wife Flora, Robert Helvey and wife Maudie, and Thomas Helvey.

Family and friend hour is from 6-8:00 PM at the Mead Baptist Church on Thursday October 7th. A funeral service in honor of her life will be at 2:00 PM Friday October 8th at the Maysville Methodist Church with Bro. Kerry Groce and Michael Deviney officiating.

Her final resting place will be the Maysville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers you can send donations to Mead Baptist Church Falls Creek ministry in honor of Alice Deviney.

Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, OK. And Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, OK.
