Saturday, June 30, 2012 Marlene [Mays] Clark 1931 ~ June 16, 2012 Marlene Mays Clark left this world to be with our Father in heaven on June 16, 2012, around 8:30 p.m. She hated to have lost her son Buster so early in life, but did not want to leave her children here so soon. We have comfort knowing that she is happy to be reunited with Buster and that she is in pain no more. Marlene was born in 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, went to schools in Houston, Texas, and Hollywood, California, and graduated from Ball High in Galveston, Texas. Our Mom was known for many things. She was a Realtor in Lake Jackson, Houston and the Clear Lake/Dickinson areas. She always fought for what she believed in; and she always believed in God, her family and her country. She was extremely into genealogy, thus wanted to be laid to rest next to a relative so as not to make it difficult to find her. For this reason, there will be no services here, but rather in Maysville, Oklahoma, where she will be laid to rest next to her father Clarence Elmo Mays in the Mays Cemetery plot around July 20. |
