Alpha "Fatty" [Thomas] Brown
March 15, 1904 ~ September 3, 1991

Alpha Thomas Lawson Brown had a twin sister named Alma Thomas Lawson. The twins were initially married to the Lawson brothers. They were mere infants when placed on the Dawes roll as Chickasaw by blood, ⅜ % from their father.

Alpha's father was known in the Chickasaw Nation as very adept at killing deer with a lever action rifle, while sitting astride his horse.

Her mother was of Choctaw lineage, and her family were early Texas settlers to include a number of Texas Rangers. Her Grandfather, Ransom Goins, and his parents Jeremiah and Sharaphine Goins emigrated from Louisiana circa 1828 to the Mexican state of Coahuila and Texas, and were loyal Mexican citizens, until the revolution began in 1835. They were citizens of the Republic of Texas until 1845, when the United States and the Republic of Texas agreed to merge, and Texas was admitted to the Union.
