March 19, 2010 Death: March 17, 2010 Jerry Lee Grinstead, of Stratford, was born August 14, 1941 in Altus, Oklahoma to Orville Glenn and Mary Alice [Countryman] Grinstead. He passed away March 17, 2010 at OKC, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years 7 months and 3 days. He worked in construcion as a finisher, and served our Country in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam era. He lived most of his life in Midwest City, OK, then moving to Stratford, OK to be near his family. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be David Golden, Joe Jones, Jim Burnett, Billy Hickman, Billy Jack Hickman, and Connie Mercer. Survived by 1 sister & brother-in-law, Katherine & Kenneth Keel, Stratford, OK; 1 brother & sister-in-law, Bobby Gene & Pat Grinstead, Umatilla, FL; 4 nephews, Kenny Keel, TN, Keith Keel, Diego, Garcia, Alexander Skigen, FL, Jackson Skigen, FL; 2 nieces, Cindy & husband Andrew Skigen, FL, Kathy Keel, TN; 2 aunts, Bernice Stump, MO, Billie Spence, FL; 1 uncle, Sammy Countryman, Ft. Worth, TX; 15 cousins, 1 godson, Matthew Davis, Dallas, TX. Services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, Stratford, OK, officiated by Bro. Earnest Johnson. Burial will be at Keel Cemetery, Stratford. Pickard Funeral Home, Stratford, OK. |
