"Jim" Tinnin, of Pauls Valley, passed away January 24, 2015 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years. Jim was born June 23, 1942 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Burvin Odes and Viola Mae [Cottrell] Tinnin. He worked in Industrial Management and was a Welder. The Tulsa area has been his home most of his life where he was a member of the Belview Baptist Church; Pauls Valley has been his home for just a short time. He dearly loved each and every one of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents as well as one brother, Gerald Tinnin. Surviving family include his children, Diana Bittle of Stratford; James Tinnin of Heber Springs, Arkansas; Troy Tinnin of Sallisaw; Julye Gonzales of Purcell; Lori Tinnin of Choctaw; Joy Lanning of Catoosa; Angie Stephens of Bixby; Jennifer Boatman of Broken Arrow; Kristy Patton of Tulsa; and his grandson that he raised, Devyn Tinnin of Broken Arrow; 25 grandchildren, Daniel, Robert, Anthony, Tamara, Bryan, Brantley, Blake, Megan, Tanner, Shaina, Jonathan, Kristiana, Joseph, Gabriel, Adam, Ashley, John, Eliza, Esther, Joshua, Caleb, Katelynn, Mackenzie, and Alexander and Timo; 22 great-grandchildren with two on the way; two brothers, Glenn Tinnin of Purcell; and Fred Tinnin of Stratford. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Cottrell Mission Holiness Church, south and west of Stratford, officiated by Rev. Orville Cottrell. Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. A Memorial Services will also be conducted at the Belview Baptist Church at 1040 N. Yale Ave. in Tulsa, OK 74115 at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015. |
