© Stufflebean~Coffey Funeral Home Pauls Valley, Oklahoma May 2, 2011 Valvin "Buddy" Call June 12, 1926 ~ May 2, 2011 Valvin "Buddy" Call, of Wynnewood, was born June 12, 1926 in Munday, Texas to Joseph Carroll and Bessie Clyde Wiggins Call. He passed away May 2, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. He served as a Seaman Second Class in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. On March 23, 1947 he was married to Altie James in Seymour, Texas. Valvin was a Paint Contractor and a member of the Cottrell Mission. Preceding him in death are his parents, Joseph and Bessie Call; a son, Curtis Call; a grandson, DeRon Call; and a great-grandson, Dillion Call. Surviving family include his wife of 64 years, Altie Mae Call of the home; one son, Marvin Joseph Call and his wife, Lois; a daughter, Judy Cantrell; a daughter in law, Elaine Call, all of Stratford; one sister, Helen Felton of the State of Washington; eight grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and; a number of nieces and nephews; as well, as a host of other relatives and friends. A time of visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening, 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Cottrell Mission officiated by Rev. Orville Cottrell, Bro. Vernon McGrew and Bro. Dallen Wright. Interment will be at Lewis Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Pallbeareres will be Jody Call, Rodney Cantrell, Kevin Call, DeShawn Cantrell, Jeffery Cantrell and Michael Call. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bro. James McCalip and Bro. Charlie Cox. |
