Oklahoma December 2013 April 2, 1980 ~ December 3, 2013 Amber Rae Covington of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to John S. and Cathy [Bump] Barnes on April 28, 1980 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 3, 2013 at the age of 33 years. Amber grew up and attended school in Elmore City, Oklahoma. She played in the Elmore City honor band before graduating in 1999. She then attended East Central University where she obtained her B.S. in Nursing. On September 27, 2003, Amber married Darren Covington in Duncan, Oklahoma. Amber had worked for several years at Duncan Regional Hospital and also in home health. In her spare time she enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and being outdoors. Amber is survived by: Husband: Darren Covington of the home; 2 daughters: Sidney Grace Covington of the home; Avery Rae Covington of the home; Parents: John S. Barnes of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Cathy Bump of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Brother: John "Red" Barnes and wife Brandi of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Grandparents: J. R. and Linda Barnes of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Frances Bump of Weatherford, Texas; Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Mike and June Covington of Duncan, Oklahoma. Amber was preceded in death by: Grandparents: Eugene Bump and Tonya Costello; Great-grandmothers: Katherine Bump and Jesse Wooton.
