He lost his valiant fight against cancer on Friday, June the 13th, 2014. His early childhood was spent in Pauls Valley pestering his older brother Richard & younger sister Susan. They moved to Oklahoma City in the mid 50's where Bob attended Harding High School & then graduated from Oklahoma Military Academy. He served several tours of duty as an Army officer in the Vietnam War. After coming home, he found his calling in the hospitality industry first at Steak & Ale and then purchasing Aunt Pittypat's Catering where he set the bar for off premise catering in Oklahoma for over 18 years! He and his wife/soul mate of 38 years, Liz Mullins Howell, retired to Lake Eufaula in 2006 where they entertained their daughter Maggie, Christine and their beautiful granddaughter Scout Rose. He was creative, funny, generous, kind, exacting, professional, irreverent, devastatingly handsome and could charm the socks off anyone! That in a very small nut shell, was Bob Howell.
