© DeArman's Wynnewood Funeral Home Wynnewood, Oklahoma March 2020 Jewel Washington November 5, 1925 ~ March 3, 2020 Jewel Washington, a lifetime resident of Wynnewood, OK, passed away surrounded by her loving family Tuesday March 3, 2020 at her home in Wynnewood. Jewel was born on November 5, 1925 to Laura [Smith] and Johnny Greenwood. Mrs. Washington married Floyd "O.C." Washington on January 7, 1941 in Wynnewood. She, along with her husband, raised nine children. In her life she had worked various places including in Nursing care at Wynnewood Care Center and later for the Pauls Valley State School (later Southern Oklahoma Resource Center) retiring there. At an early age she united with Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wynnewood and later in life united with Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sons - Robert Washington and Lawrence Washington, 3 daughters - Donna Gray, Debbie Washington, and Mary McNeil. She leaves to forever cherish her memory - Son Frank Washington and wife Beverly, Daughter - Zeola Smith and husband Joe, Daughter - Sharon Thomas and husband Scott, Son - Richard Washington and wife Jan, Son in law - John McNeil, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, family and friends. Services will be held on Saturday March 7, 2020 at 11 AM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Wynnewood with burial following at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
