Harvey Lonnie Tarrant
January 4, 1906 ~ August 29, 2007


Harvey Lonnie Tarrant of Elmore City, Oklahoma was born to William Asbery and Hannah Bertha [Williams] Tarrant on January 4, 1906 in Foster, Indian Territory and passed from this life on August 29, 2007 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 101 years.

Lonnie grew up and attended school at Bells and Crawford Schools in the Table Top Mountains.

On January 10, 1933, Lonnie married Lora Allie Shuler. Together they made their home in Garvin, Grady, and Mayes counties.

He has farmed and ranched most of his life. In his spare time, Lonnie enjoyed fishing, traveling, working, and home construction and carpentry work.

Mr. Tarrant is survived by; His wife: Lora Allie Tarrant of the home; His children: Lora Fay Williams and her husband Jack of Levelland, Texas; Barbara Easley and her husband Ray of Patterson, Louisiana; Earl Tarrant and his wife Frances of Paoli, Oklahoma; Kay Brashears and her husband Belford of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Carolyn Gamble and her husband Ray of Gracemont, Oklahoma; Connie Sanders and her husband Dickie of Amber, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren: Kat Bagley, Lonnie Easley, Darrell Easley, Ricky Tarrant, Scott Tarrant, Sherry Schaurs, Kerry Brashears, Kyle Brashears, Brian Huseman, Jonathan Huseman, Todd Sanders, Matt Sanders, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Tarrant was preceded in death by; His parents: William and Hannah Tarrant; one infant son; two brothers: Bill Asbery Tarrant and James Edgar Tarrant; three sisters: Annie Phillips, Marie Blankenship and Maggie Parsons; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Tarrant are scheduled for Friday, August 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley.

Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Wooster Funeral Home in Elmore City from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30th.

Mary Frances Tarrant, 82 of Paoli passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Oklahoma City.

She was a devoted homemaker.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, May 31, 2021 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Story Baptist Church, north of Maysville with burial in the Foster Cemetery.
