James Oliver Pentecost

James O. Pentecost of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born to Eric and Nan Alice [Wilson] Pentecost in Gadsden, Alabama and passed from this life on November 17, 2020 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years.

James grew up and attended school in Gadsden, Alabama. He served his country in the U. S. Army as Captain and was a veteran of Desert Storm.

He has made his home in Pauls Valley for the past 20 years. James owned and operated the Purcell Coin Shop.

He was a faithful member of the Landmark Church in Pauls Valley.

In his spare time, James enjoyed deep sea fishing, writing short stories, and traveling. James was known for his honesty and generosity. He loved to visit Yellowstone every year and he loved his little dog Shorty.

Mr. Pentecost is survived by: 3 sisters: Marsha McCleary of Georgetown, Texas, Judy Owens of Gadsden, Alabama, Margaret Patrias of Deforest, Wisconsin.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 at Landmark Church in Pauls Valley.
