August 05, 1944 ~ November 27, 2018

Riley McGregor, age 74, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Norman Regional Healthplex.

Riley Edward McGregor was born August 5, 1944 in Elmore City, OK, the baby of 5 children born to Norman and Minnie Bea Lee McGregor. Riley was raised in Elmore City and attended school there, graduating in 1962. Later that same year, on September 8, he married his best friend and life partner, Roszetta Blackwood.

Life for a young couple could be challenging, although Riley's determination would drive him to success. He began taking classes at Central State University, and at the same time worked a full time job. He graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting Degree. Riley started his own business, and operated Mac Manufacturing in Okla. City for many years. But his heart was never far from home, and so they purchased some land near Washington. Riley then spent his days tending to his cattle, and living out his dream of ranching.

Riley and Roszetta were the proud parents of two children, daughter, Connie and son, Scott. Riley was a family man first, and throughout the years, he welcomed grandchildren and then great grandchildren with open arms, and his life was complete. Riley was an avid hunter; a bird hunter to be exact. He hunted dove, pheasant and quail, and never missed an opportunity to "flush" the birds. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and a good friend. He will be dearly missed! He was preceded in death by: His parents, Norman and Minnie Bea McGregor and His sister, J'Nne McGregor, and brother-in-law, Frank Nichols, Ada, OK.
