He passed away January 13, 2019 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 97 years, 7 months and 12 days. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946. He served in the South Pacific during WWII. He married Bobbie Ruth Johnson on January 17, 1946 in Slaton, Texas. He and Bobbie moved from Slaton to Oklahoma in 1985. He was a member of the American Legion 191. He was a retired Conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad, he loved working as a craftsman, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never met a stranger, loved his community and they loved him. Preceded by; his parents, his wife Bobbie, two brothers. and three sisters. Survived by; two daughters; Lou Ann Terry & husband Giles of Ada, Oklahoma, Kay Kitten of Stratford, Oklahoma; two sons; Ron Hogue & wife Patti of Durham North Carolina, Curtis Hogue & wife Teresa of Valley View, Texas. Pallbearers; Randy Hogue, Mike Milliken, Jaston Korzan, Jason Korzan, Terry Gustovic, and Andy Hogue. Honorary Pallbearers; Jim Korzan and Deloid Bittle. She passed away July 3, 2018 in Mercy hospital Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 28 days.Joe Robert Johnson and Vera Florence [Bassinger] Johnson She married Hiram Samuel Hogue in Slaton, Texas on January 17, 1946. She was the activity director in Slaton. She was a member of the Baptist faith, and sang and played the guitar. Preceded by; three sisters. Survived by; her husband Sam of the home in Stratford. Two daughters; Lou Ann Terry & husband Giles of Ada; Kay Kitten, of the home in Stratford; two sons; Ron Hogue & wife Patti of Durham, NC. Curtis Hogue & wife Teresa of Valley View, Texas; Seven grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
