December 2012 Jimmy Dewayne Denney June 16, 1946 ~ December 17, 2012 Jimmy D. Denney, a resident of Sulphur was born June 16, 1946 in Ada, Oklahoma to Charles Hershel and Jessie Curlee] Denney. He passed away Monday December 17, 2012 at Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years 6 months and 1 day. Jimmy grew up in the Sulphur area, attending Sulphur High School. He and Mary Thomasson were married on July 6, 1966 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He had lived in Stratford for 20 years before returning to Sulphur 15 years ago. Jimmy worked as a heavy equipment operator and also as a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his wife: Mary Denney of Sulphur, Ok. daughter & friend, Lesa Sojo & Curtis Dilbeck of Sulphur, Ok. grandson & wife: William Parker Jimi & Holly Gray of Roff, Ok. Granddaughter: Brooklyn Maryiah Couch of Enid, Ok. brother & sister-in-law: Stanley & Diane Denney of Tulsa, Ok. Sister: Charlotte Smith of Ardmore, Ok. Nephews: Soapy Ray Denney, Jessie Charles Denney niece: Monica Ann Smith. Funeral Services: 2:00PM Thursday December 20,2012 at the DeArman's Clagg Funeral Chapel with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Corley Cemetery. Pallbearers: Soapy Denney, William Parker Jimi Gray, Charlie Denney;, Jackie Watterson, Mike Watterson, Brian Wolfe. Honorary Bearers: Johnny West, Sammy Jones, Jimmy Stanifer. |
