Fay Lillian Phipps, 83 of Duncan, OK, died on Monday, October 18, 2010, at Duncan Regional Hospital in Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Lakeside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gene Jorgenson officiating. Interment will follow at Clabber Flats Cemetery, Stratford, OK under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Fay was born Thursday, July 7, 1927 in Stratford, OK, the daughter of Francis A. Watson and Willie [Leonard] Watson. She married Donald Edward Phipps on July 25, 1947 at Oklahoma City and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2004.

She was a homemaker, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Edward A. Phipps of Duncan, OK., James R. Phipps of Comanche, OK, Gary Watson of Comanche, OK and Greg Bork of Midwest City, OK. Two daughters Carolyn Bell of Duncan, OK, Donita F. Clawson of Duncan, OK. One brother Jack Watson of Sulphur, OK , one sister Mary Jane Seaton of Paden, OK. Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Fay was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, nine brothers & sisters and two great-grandchildren; Chance R. Poynter and Sharon K. Peck.

Pallbearers will be Richard Phipps, James F. Crowell, James D. Phipps, Chris Cox, Charles Poynter, Greg Bork.

Honorary bearers will be C.J. Howell, James A. Crowell, Michael D. Williams and Michael Williams.
